Hazwoper

The HAZWOPER Certification Training Program is an interactive program designed for those individuals who may respond defensively and offensively to a hazardous release. The program outlines the strategies and roles used to protect persons, property or the environment from the effects of a hazardous release. The necessary functions of containing a release from a safe distance, keeping it from spreading and preventing exposures are also part of the certification training.

Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training

This course is intended for individuals that will be employed as rescue persons in a confined space capacity, but not in an IDLH environment. Personnel are trained in not only the hazards and entry requirements of confined spaces, but also some of the required rescue competencies as outlined in NFPA 1006, NFPA 1670 and OSHA 1910.146. The competencies include but are not limited to, ropes and knots, hazard recognition and appropriate control measures, patient packaging, atmospheric monitoring and toxicology. The course concludes with practical scenarios of varying difficulty in multiple types of confined spaces.

Confined Space Entry Training

Many workplaces contain spaces that are considered "confined" because their configurations hinder the activities of employees who must enter, work in, and exit them. A confined space has limited or restricted means for entry or exit, and it is not designed for continuous employee occupancy. Confined spaces include, but are not limited to underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos, process vessels, and pipelines.

The Confined Space Entry Program offers comprehensive coverage of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 and meets all applicable training standards. In the classroom, the course introduces the student to the requirements of entry procedures as stated in the OSHA regulation. Participants are exposed to “Hands-on” training with a mobile simulator.
