The OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in general industry. The program was created by the United States Department of Labour. The purpose of the program is to:
  • Encourage employers and employees to reduce workplace hazards and to implement new or improve existing safety and health programs.
  • Establish separate but dependent responsibilities and rights for employees for the achievement of better safety and health conditions.
  • Provide the necessary safety training in all aspects of safety.
The OSHA program allows the participants to see safety from a more holistic standpoint, giving them that necessary edge they require.
